5.31.2024 From Cranbrook, I headed into the Kootenay Rockies Very dramatic!   After about 100 miles, I passed over the Crowsnest Pass into Alberta   But all good things come to an end eventually, and I descended from the mountains to the plains See ya later, Rockies!   It got flat very quickly   Oh look! A train!   I rolled into Swift Current, Saskatchewan at around 5pm.   Almost missed a lurid sunset! Anne, how could you?   Day 4 complete. 430 miles, about 8 hours. 5.28.2024 Left LA at about 7:30am! Determined to get to Weed in daylight! (I vividly remember the time I was driving up there in the dark. The shoulders' rumble strips saved my life, as I was nodding off. Hence the daylight concern). Had to get gas at Costco because they were closed on Memorial Day [previous day].
